Preferred application deadline: January 15, 2014
The program
The Art Practice program offers a low-residency, cross-disciplinary approach to an MFA degree. In this post-conceptual, post-studio era, artists pursue their practice by engaging an idea first, and then developing a plan that may involve a combination of media, technologies and techniques. We encourage participants to explore traditional art media as well as techniques and technologies not typically associated with artmaking.
Faculty members include: David A. Ross, Suzanne Anker, Beth B, Dara Birnbaum, Kathy Brew, Eric and Heather ChanSchatz, Laura F. Gibellini, Claire Gilman, Thyrza Nichols Goodeve, Johan Grimonprez, Daniel Kunitz, Alix Lambert, Steven Henry Madoff, Ernesto Pujol, Tim Rollins, Sarah Sharp, Gary Simmons, Stefan Saffer, Jovana Stokic, Mark Tribe and Robin Winters
